Causes and Solution to Acne

Causes and Solution to Acne

In order to understand what is wrong externally one must look internally. To clear your acne or any other skin conditions, you must start from within. Acne is almost always internal because you are what you eat. If you are constantly consuming unhealthy, processed and addictive foods then your skin will show you that your stomach cannot break down what has been put inside of it. Our skin is the largest organ of our body and it is one of the first places we can spot something wrong internally.

In order to truly rid your body of toxins, which results in pimples, you must start within. Start by eliminating and reducing the amount of processed foods you eat as well as meat, seafood, dairy, gluten (wheat), GMOs and refined sugars and increase your in take of alkaline fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, water and herbs.

Herbs that I recommend using for acne include, Burdock Root, Sarsaparilla Root, Irish Sea Moss Gel, Soursop Leaves, Black Seed Oil and Ginger Root. All of these herbs can be used to make tea.

Along with internally cleansing yourself by eating alkaline based foods, we must also be conscious of what we put on our faces. As a female, I have worn makeup from my early teenage years. I won’t get into the consumerist aspect of how we are trained from a young age to wear makeup in order to look like what corporations have defined as “beauty”; subconsciously making us believe that only their image of beauty is beautiful when in reality, beauty is beyond the physical… Makeup can be extremely damaging to the skin as it has many chemicals and unnatural ingredients; and because our skin is porous, it eats what we put on it. If you do wear make up, I suggest using plant based makeup and using it much less to allow your skin to breathe. A healthy and clean- ingredient skin care routine is also essential to reduce acne.

To cleanse your face, I recommend using our Alkaline Essentials Facial Cleanser. It is made of only 4 alkaline plant based ingredients and is available on our shop. After using the face wash, I recommend using a gentle exfoliating scrub 3 times a week. I recommend our Coconut Raspberry Seed Scrub, which is also available on our shop. After you have cleansed and exfoliated, I recommend using our Rose Hydrating Mist as a toner and using alkaline cold pressed oils like walnut, avocado, watermelon seed oil to moisturize as needed.

For facial masks, I recommend using Irish Sea Moss Gel, Bentonite Clay Powder and Activated Coconut Charcoal Powder.

So now that we’ve looked at inter and external, and there is one last aspect of acne and it’s mental. Stress, anxiety and depression can also lead to acne, skin conditions or dullness of the skin. The best suggestion I have for stress, anxiety and depression is making adjustment in your daily lifestyle. You must protect and preserve your energy, therefore it is important to give yourself love and care daily. You can do this by praying, meditating, reading books, exercising, going for walks in nature, cooking, learning new skills, expressing your talents, etc. Connecting with yourself through The Divine is the best way to relieve your mental anxieties.

Purify your mind, body, and soul. Bless.
