The Alkaline Lifestyle

The Alkaline Lifestyle

Professor Arnold Ehret, Dr. Sebi and Dr. Morse all agree that acidic foods must be removed from ones lifestyle in order for the body to maintain a necessary and slightly Alkaline pH balance in the blood to support homeostasis through out the body.

The consumption of meat, dairy, seafood, refined carbs/grains, refined sugar and processed foods cause inflammation and excess mucus. Mucus is said by Dr. Sebi ‘to be the root of all disease’, and often people think all mucus is bad; however, it is excess mucus that Dr. Sebi was referring to. Removing these foods is the first step to healing your body. What you consume is truly the key to healing yourself. “Let thy food be thy medicine, and let thy medicine be thy food” (Hippocrates).

To heal your body, you must start with what you eat. Consuming more plant based foods, particularity fruits help the body heal and detoxify. Most people think these foods are boring at first, but when you eat them and you experience how they make you feel in comparison to acid forming foods, it sparks something inside. You feel less lethargic, and more alive. These foods are soul foods. Fruits especially help the body detox, reduce inflammation, remove excess mucus and relieve constipation. Avoid seedless fruits and GMO’s; instead consume more organic when possible.

The body is made up of 70% water, so drinking up to a gallon a day of spring water is essential. Spring water is the best water to drink as it is naturally alkaline. Other sources of water can be from fruits and some vegetables like cucumbers, as they contain a high water content.

Lastly, using herbs to supplement your diet can be very helpful, however only when you are eating the right food and living a healthy lifestyle. You cannot eat junk often and expect to be healed by taking herbs. Herbs should be used as supplements to your lifestyle.
