I also apply Irish Sea Moss Gel to my face as a facial mask, which leaves my skin feeling hydrated and smooth. Irish Sea Moss contains is a great replacement for vitamin supplements as it contains over 100 minerals essential to the human body.

2. Burdock Root

Burdock Root is one of my favorite herbal teas. Burdock root contains all the 102 minerals in the body, but in low levels. I drink this herbal tea very often as it acts as a “blood cleanser”, cleanses the lymphatic system and also works as a natural laxative. Burdock root has a very mild earthy taste that I love.

3. Soursop Leaves.

Soursop leaves are also one of my favorite herbal teas. Soursop is commonly known for it’s anti cancer properties and anti parasitic properties. Soursop leaves go great with ginger and I usually brew them together for a wonderful tasting  and anti-inflammatory tea.

4. Elderberries

Elderberries are great for when you have a cold and want to give your immunity a boost. Elderberries really help kick your immune system into drive, but be careful about how much you consume as too much can make you nauseous. Elderberry is a great addition to other herbs to brew a tea and is also great for making your own cough syrup.

Black walnut hull powder is great for its antibacterial, antiviral and anti-parasitic properties. I add this powder to my smoothies, you can alternatively make it into a tea.

6. Dandelion Root

While I have never been a big coffee drinker, dandelion root is perfect if I’m ever want something that tastes similar. Add hemp milk and date sugar and you got yourself a latte that helps cleanse your liver. Coffee is acidic, so I recommend this to all the morning coffee drinkers as it cleanses your liver, which means it also gives you energy (if that’s the reason you drink coffee). Dandelion Root is a perfect way to detox and start off your morning.

7. Sarsaparilla Root

Sarsaparilla is the highest in iron and therefore perfect for when I feel my body is lacking it. Sarsaparilla goes well with other herbs such as burdock root or dandelion root.

8. Bladderwrack Powder

Bladderwrack is used for thyroid disorders, arthritis, hardening of the arteries, digestive disorders, heartburn, blood cleansing, constipation, bronchitis, urinary tract disorders, and anxiety. I personally use Bladderwrack powder because of it’s immense minerals and it’s ability to help boost the immune system and increase energy. I add this powder to smoothies and you can hardly taste it. I also use bladderwrack powder for my skin. Bladderwrack is good for the skin and contains anti-aging properties.

I like Damiana because it helps me feel happy when I feel emotionally unbalanced or anxious. Damiana is also commonly used as a natural aphrodisiac. Damiana can be used by both women and men. Damiana is also a great herb for the ladies when they are experiencing their menses.

10. Chamomile Flower

Chamomile is also one of my favorite teas for its calming and mentally soothing effects. Chamomile is a great tea to drink at night as it helps with insomnia and is very relaxing. Chamomile is a great remedy for those facing depression, anxiety and stress. Chamomile has tremendously helped me with easing my stress and helping me sleep better at night.

Take each one of these herbs separately and see which works best for you. What works for one person might not necessarily work for another. Researching and listening to others about what to take can be helpful, but trying it out for yourself is the best way to experience what is best for you.
